(More customer reviews)Several things make the Conant rain gauge stand out from other gauges sold through Amazon: the fittings are solid brass; the tube is glass, not plastic, and it holds up to three inches of rain water (as opposed to a maximum of 1.5", which is typical of other brands); and it comes with a lid -- or more specifically, a finely-textured mesh cover that filters out debris falling from above. I am very happy with my purchase, and the item is guaranteed for life.
