Help a young girl figure out of what to wear outside with this wireless temperature station and its spunky weather girl. From La Crosse Technology, the WS-9760U-IT temperature station relates both the indoor and outdoor temperatures. The pig-tailed weather girl models a weather-appropriate outfit based on the current outdoor temperature; five different weather girl icons and a frost warning icon are available.
The temperature station\'s receiver is framed in purple plastic and comes with a detachable base for free-standing display. To wall mount, a hanging hole is provided on the receiver\'s backside. The LCD relays the time at the top of the screen with AM/PM indicators. The weather girl and the current indoor and outdoor temperatures are displayed in the center LCD section. Below the current weather data, the screen presents the minimum and maximum outdoor temperature recordings. The temperature station measures outdoor temperatures ranging from -39.8 to +139.8 degrees F and indoor temperatures from 14.2 to 139.8 degrees F. Using the two function buttons, the user manually sets the time, chooses Fahrenheit or Celsius readings, and opts for either 12- or 24-hour time formats. The provided TX40U-IT remote transmitter sends outdoor temperatures from up to 200 feet away. For accurate readings, mount the transmitter out of direct rain or sunlight. Only one transmitter works with this station. The separate purchase of two AAA and three AA batteries is required. Covered by a limited one-year warranty, the temperature station\'s receiver with its base measures 3-1/2 inches wide by 2-3/4 inches deep by 5-3/4 inches high. The sensor measures 1-1/4 inches wide by 1/2 inch deep by 3-2/5 inches high.
