It was intended to mount just outside my window, the "arm" that came with it was not long enough to extend past the window casing so my very-handy-significant-other fashioned another one out of a metal rod. It is very easy to read and is spot-on. I love knowing what to wear for my daily walks and knowing when to stay in snuggled in my favorite blankie.
