Dress appropriately for outside activities without stepping outside to assess the temperature with this straightforward wireless weather station. Manufactured by La Crosse Technology, the weather station allows users to monitor the outdoor temperature and relative humidity from inside, and to also check the indoor temperatures and time.
Equipped for wall hanging or free-standing display, the weather station receiver\'s LCD screen relates the time in either 12- or 24-hour formats. Likewise, indoor and outdoor temperatures can be expressed in Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees. The simple two-button interface allows the user to set the clock, select the sensor\'s transmission channel, and to refer to the recorded minimum and maximum temperatures and humidity level. From a maximum distance of 330 feet from the receiver, a provided TX21U-IT thermo-hygro sensor communicates outdoor weather data every 4-1/2 seconds at a 915 MHz frequency; transmission through walls and other barriers diminishes the weather station\'s range. The weather station measures indoor temperatures ranging from 14.1 to 139.8 degrees F, outdoor temperatures from -39.8 to +139 degrees F, and relative humidity levels from 1 to 99 percent. For the best results, install the sensor with the provided mounting bracket in a sheltered, shaded area. The weather station accommodates up to three remote sensors total. To power the weather station, the separate purchase of four AA alkaline batteries is required. A limited one-year warranty covers this product. The weather station receiver measures 2-3/4 inches wide by 1-1/6 inches deep by 4-1/2 inches high while the sensor spans 2-1/4 inches wide by 2-2/5 inches deep by 5-1/3 inches high.
